Dumpling Dinesty

Created by illustrator, Fiona Hewitt, and expert in Asian Kitschology, Andy Tainton, the Dumpling Dynasty brand was inspired by years spent living in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong, endlessly trawling the flea markets and junk shops for inspiration.

“Our products are a labour of love. Sought-out from lesser-known parts of China, we strive to personalize and re-create the sweet sentiment and attention to detail found in vintage Asian packaging design,” says Fiona Hewitt. “It is our hope that these products will make your life a little sweeter every time you use them.”

kapla

"In pursuit of a childhood dream I moved from Holland to France, bought a ruined farm house and from it built a castle in stone. The concept of KAPLA is a result of that building experience.

We have all played with buildings blocks, but the KAPLA plank, only one size, is the best adapted for building without gluing or fixing. Master of manners: master of self. Our society fails to recognise the importance of developing coordination simultaneously with intelligence to obtain balance and harmony of mind. By combining the skills of ingenuity and creativity, KAPLA increases children’s capacity to concentrate and develops their ability to adapt to an ever changing world. KAPLA is a delightful medium to introduce children to the world of artistic creativity.

Through building, one builds character"
